5th Grade. This beginner's class is open to all 5th graders who are interested in learning a wide range of skills, basic elements, and styles of music. In addition to this, the student will also learn about his/her individual instrument through class work, homework, and individual instruction. The band performs at the spring concert each year. There are no extra rehearsals for 5th grade, but students are highly encouraged to seek private instruction.

Middle School. This class is open to all 6th, 7th, and 8th graders who have had at least one year of band experience. The lessons are built on previous knowledge of musical skills, basic elements, styles of music, and techniques of their own instrument. Band members will perform at winter and spring concerts. Although it is not required, participation in the pep band is encouraged. The Middle School Band has received ratings of excellent and superior at competitions in previous years. The band will be performing at various state festivals and, thus, will have some extra rehearsals before or after school. Middle School Band students have the option of trying out for All-State Band, and are highly encouraged to seek out private instruction.

High School. Students in the High School Band must have the equivalent of four years of musical training on their instrument. Band members continue to strengthen their knowledge of music theory and playing skills. In addition to performing at winter and spring shows, students are required to participate in the pep band that performs at all home football games. The High School Band has received awards of excellent and superior at competitions in previous years. They will continue to perform at various state festivals in the future. All band members are encouraged to seek out private instruction.
