Chambers Singers Christmas Concert Ticket Order Form

Chamber Singers. Chamber Singers is an auditioned ensemble that showcases the school's top vocal performers. The Chamber Singers rehearse in class and perform several times each year at school and community concerts and events. The Chamber Singers travel annually to sing in major music festivals held in cities which represent the cultural hubs of our nation, such as Boston, New York, and Los Angeles.   Prior to auditioning for Chamber Singers, a student must have completed one year of either middle school chorus or high school chorale.
Chorale. This is an open ensemble for all high school boys and girls. In Chorale, students learn basic techniques of proper vocal practices. Students are introduced to a variety of styles and types of music.  Chorale offers winter and spring concerts and travels each year to participate in major music festivals held in cities which represent the cultural hubs of our nation, such as Boston, New York, and Los Angeles. Students who desire to audition for Chamber Singers must complete one year in either middle school chorus or high school chorale.
Middle School Chorus. The Middle School Chorus is a required elective for 6th & 7th grade boys and girls and is open to all 8th graders. The goal of the Middle School Chorus is to introduce proper vocal technique, sight singing, and basic musicianship to the students. Students develop good choral singing practices while learning a variety of music and styles in two and three-part harmony.

Windsong. This extracurricular elementary school choir, directed by Pam Hill, is made up of 4th and 5th graders from both the Fairburn and Peachtree City campuses. No audition is required to participate, only a desire to sing! The two campus choirs combine for concerts, where they often perform mass choir pieces with Landmark’s middle and high school choral groups. Windsong also performs at various community and school events, and participates in the Georgia Music Educators choral festival each year, where it consistently earns superior ratings.

Fairburn’s Elementary Praise Team. The elementary praise team meets Thursday afternoons from 3:15-4 p.m. All 5th graders who are interested in leading praise and worship at the Fairburn Elementary chapels are welcome to join. Fourth graders may join, if there are openings.

Elementary School General Music. K4 through 4th graders come to General Music class once a week, where they learn about God’s wonderful gift of music. They study it’s important role in the Bible and the many ways God intended it not only to enrich our lives, but to worship and praise Him both now and for eternity. The music room is a fun place where music is experienced through movement, singing, and playing instruments. In keeping with the National Standards for Music Education, students learn music fundamentals such as rhythm, melody, harmony, tone color, form, and expression, and are introduced to the works of great composers as well as music of all styles and cultures. Opera plots, Bible stories, and composers’ lives come alive through many skits and activities, and a particular emphasis is placed on American music and its role in our nation’s history. In 4th grade, students learn to play the soprano recorder through the award-winning “Recorder Karate” program, which prepares them for 5th grade band.
