Dear Parent,
Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to partner with you in the education of your child. We consider it a privilege to work together with you to prepare your child to impact the world for Jesus Christ.
It is our prayer that your family's experience at Landmark be blessed and successful. This guide has been prepared to inform you of events, organizations, and vocabulary that are important aspects of Landmark family life. We hope that you find the guide helpful and return to this page as a resource throughout each year.

Accelerated Reader (AR) - Accelerated Reader is a national reading program that provides teachers and children a fun and exciting way to promote the fundamental skill of reading. While students enjoy the excitement of working toward individual reading goals, which earn them pizza, prizes, and fun field trips, the AR program offers substantial other benefits such as increased student reading achievement, improved vocabulary and comprehension skills, improved standardized test taking skills, and the development of a lifelong love of reading. After School Program - All students who remain on campus after school hours must be in a supervised activity.  Landmark offers an enriching After School Program which includes study halls for older students.  More about our After School Program...

Annual Fund - While tuition provides the foundation for excellence, gifts to Landmark's Annual Fund enable us to implement valuable enhancements and significant improvements in many areas of our school. Each year Landmark parents are asked to support the Annual Fund. More about Annual Fund...

Athletics - Landmark has a very successful athletic program that is inspiring and developmental for the athletes and lots of fun to watch for all students and parents. Participating in a sport is a great way for a middle or high school student to make new friends. More about Landmark Athletics...

Booster Club, Athletics - Our athletics booster club is called the Champions Club. This group of enthusiastic parents supports the needs of our strong athletic program through volunteering time, skills, and financial resources. Champions Club president is Frank Wren. Questions about the Champions Club may be directed to Frank or to our Champions Club director of communications/secretary Beth Moody.

Booster Club, Fine Arts - Our art, band, chorus, and drama departments depend heavily on support from our parents. With our parents' help the show does go on! Cafeteria - The cafeteria offers two hot lunch choices each day, in addition to a salad bar and snack bar. The lunch menu is available each week online and in the parent email Weekly Update newsletter.

Chapel - Our parents are always welcome in chapel. Elementary chapel is held in Peachtree City each Wednesday at 9:15 a.m. and in Fairburn each Friday at 9:00 a.m. Middle school chapel is held every other Monday at 9:55 a.m. and high school chapel is held every other Monday at 11:10 a.m.

Class Schedule, Middle and High School - Returning students will register for fall classes in the early spring of the previous school year. New middle and high students will need to contact the school registrar to make an appointment to create a class schedule.

College Planning - Our guidance office directs students in their college planning, from rising freshman through the senior year. An excellent college planning guide is available through GAcollege411. Dean, MS/HS - Roby Ross (770-692-6773) is the Dean of Students for middle school andhigh schoo. The dean oversees the welfare and conduct of our middle and high school students. Parents are encouraged to contact the dean, if they have concerns about their child

Dress Code/Uniform - Landmark has three dress codes: one for elementary, one for middle school, and one for high school. More on dress code/uniform...

Eagles’ Prayer and Song - Eagles’ Prayer and Song is a quarterly opportunity for parents, faculty, and staff gather together for prayer and praise. Eagles’ Prayer and Song is an adult event, please leave the little ones and the teens at home as we lift them up to the Lord in prayer. This event is held in the Fairburn campus chapelteria with dates announced in the Weekly Update. For more information please contact parent Susan Geerlings.

Easy Money - There are many ways to earn money for Landmark, while doing your routine shopping.  Possibilities include shopping at Kroger, Publix, or Target; purchasing gift wrap and magazines; and collecting Box Tops for Education.  More details on Easy Money…

Elementary Night - Each elementary grade will present a cheer and dress in blue and gold to show their spirit at a special elementary night varsity football game each year. Many years the varsity basketball team will also hold a special spirit night for our elementary students.

Field Trips - Educational and fun field trips are a valuable part of a Landmark education. Parents are frequently invited to come along as chaperones or guests. Field trip fees are charged to student accounts.

Fine Arts - Our fine arts faculty is committed to helping your child find and develop their talent, whether that be in art, music, or drama. Participating in Landmark fine arts programs is a great way for your child to make new friends. Parents and students are encouraged to support the fine arts by attending shows and events. Forms - Important Landmark forms are available online, including those for registration, afterschool program, athletic participation, and others. More on forms...

Giving to Landmark - Landmark's ability to offer an excellent education has always depended on the generosity of our Landmark family and friends. There are many ways to give a gift to our school. More on giving options...

Guidance Office - This office is responsible for student scheduling, college planning, and many special events. More on the guidance office...

Handbook - Parents are responsible for thoroughly reviewing the elementary handbook and/or the middle/high school handbook at the beginning of each school year.

Homecoming - A grand Landmark family tradition and event that features great football, visiting alumni, and the presentation of each girl of the senior class as a special member of the homecoming court.

Lands' End Polo Shirts, High School - Uniform shirts for high school students are available in a variety of colors through Lands' End. Our School Store also carries polo shirts that high school students may wear. Lands' End ordering information is available in the handbook under Dress Code.

LCS Photos - Landmark student life and athletic photos are available for viewing and purchasing online through LCS Photos.

Leadership Academy , High School - The Landmark Leadership Academy is a year long, voluntary program available to students in grades 9-12. The purpose of the Academy is to introduce students to Biblical principles of leadership, assist in developing leadership skills, and provide opportunities to apply the principles and skills learned. Library/Media Center - Landmark’s two Libraries are open each school day unless otherwise posted. Hours, Renew a book online, Bible search, and more are available online.

Lost and Found - The Fairburn campus lost and found closet is open Monday, Wednesday, and Friday 7:45-8:15 a.m. and Tuesday and Thursday 3:10-3:45 p.m. Peachtree City campus students and parents may check the front desk for missing items.

Mission Trips, High School - Each year, Landmark high school students have an opportunity to participate in at least one international mission trip. More on mission trips and students impacting the world for Jesus Christ...

NetClassroom, MS/HS - Middle and high school student grades and attendance records are available online through NetClassroom. Every middle and high school student and parent receives a user name and password to access this private information.

Parents Club - Our very active Parents Club functions as a great partner to our school, supporting through prayer, enhanced communication, encouraging parent service, and assisting with fundraising efforts. More on the Parents Club...

Parent Forum - Two to three times a year, the Parents Club holds a Parent Forum where parent concerns or questions are responded to by the administration and updates on the school are given by principals and the headmaster. All parents are encouraged to attend these informative meetings.

Parent Night - At the beginning of each year, parents are invited to come to the school in the evening to meet with their child's teacher, or teachers. This is an important evening and all parents are encouraged to attend to get a preview of their child's coming school year.

Parent/Teacher Conferences, Elementary - These conferences are held in the fall and spring of each year and are a great opportunity for you to discuss your child's progress with his/her teacher.

Pastors - Wendell Burdette, 404-931-3925, serves as our  Pastor to Families and Mike Titus serves as full-time Campus Pastor to students. 

Peer Mentoring - Peer Mentoring is a voluntary program designed to facilitate a positive academic, emotional, and social transition to Landmark for first-year middle and high school students. Peer mentors are students who have achieved academic success and have demonstrated strong leadership and communication skills. Mentors are paired with new students, based upon their activities and interests. The mentors and new students meet over the summer and plan ways to interact and touch base with one another through the first semester. Prefect Program, High School - A prefect is a senior student leader who assumes responsibility for a specific area of the Landmark student body.  More on the prefect program...

Reenrollment - All students eligible to reenroll at Landmark (that is, those with a satisfactory academic and conduct record whose student billing account is up to date) will receive a contract for reenrollment at the beginning of each February. The contract and a reenrollment tuition deposit are due at the end of each February for the coming school year.

Registration Day - On this important day in August, all parents come to school to turn in family information and student medical forms. These forms must be on file, prior to your child attending classes in the new school year. Registration forms are available online.

Reprimand, Middle and High School - Reprimands are given as a form of discipline for minor inappropriate behaviors (for example, tardiness). More on Reprimands and the Honor Code...

School Hours - Middle and high school hours are 8:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. Wednesday is early dismissal with HS dismissed at 2:27 and MS dismissed at 2:35.

1st - 2nd 8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
3rd - 5th 8:00 a.m. - 3:15 p.m.

K4 - K5 8:15 - 2:15
1st - 2nd 7:45 - 2:45
3rd - 4th 7:45 - 3:00
Wednesday - 2:15 dismissal

Summer office hours are Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

School Store - Landmark spirit items, school supplies, elementary uniforms, and polo shirts for middle and high school students are all available through our school store, located on our Fairburn campus. Parents of Peachtree City campus students may order items from the school store manager Terry Larson via email and those items will be delivered to the Peachtree City campus. The School Store is open Monday, Tuesday, & Thursday 7:30 - 9:00 a.m. and 2:45-4:00 p.m. Wednesday hours are 7:45- 9:00 a.m. and 2:15- 3:30 p.m. The store is closed on Fridays. In the summer, the School Store is open on Tuesdays and Wednesdays 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Settling in Socially - Parents are encouraged to be proactive in helping their children settle in to Landmark socially. Invite classmates over often, bring your child to home athletic competitions where they can hang out with their classmates as they cheer for their team, encourage middle and high school age children to join an athletic team and/or participate in school theatre productions, band, art, or chorus. These activities will help your child develop a circle of friends.

Shuttle Service - Transportation to and from Landmark's Fairburn campus is offered from specific locations in Peachtree City and Douglasville. More on shuttle service...

Student Government - In middle and high school students are given the opportunity to run for leadership positions in their class.
