Company. Participation in Company is through audition only. All members of Company will be spokespeople for the drama department at Landmark. Company is an opportunity for each student to excel within a specialized area of interest and an opportunity for theatre students to wear many different hats throughout the year. Company members are expected to behave as theatre professionals and will be treated as theatre professionals.
A “company” of actors:
- Promotes group edification, not self gratification
- Problem solves together
- Demands participation and excellence from all its members
- Delegates responsibility fairly and without discrimination
- Succeeds together and fails together
Theatre 1. This course involves a short introduction to the history of theatre and how this history relates to current trends in drama. Through classroom discussion, students address questions and form theories concerning Christian faith and the dramatic arts. Students also learn the fundamentals of acting and stagecraft. An open mind and a willingness to try new things are required. Topics throughout the year may include (but are not limited to) the following:
