Spring Musical
Mark Smith graduated from Abilene Christian University with a BA in theatre. Mr. Smith formerly taught theatre at Abilene Christian High School and has enjoyed teaching workshops, seminars, and theatre camps around the country. Mr. Smith has performed with various professional theatres in New York, Virginia, Texas, Kentucky, and North Carolina. He toured internationally for three years with California Theatre Center, an award-winning children's theatre based out of Sunnyvale, CA. Favorite roles include Arles Struvie in Greater Tuna, Macduff in Macbeth, and Jewell Estes in the southwest premiere of Floyd Collins. Directing credits include Driving Miss Daisy, Schoolhouse Rock Live! and the RSC's Peter Pan. His production of The Tempest was voted "Best Play of the Year" by the Abilene Reporter News in Abilene, TX for its 2002-2003 theatre season. This is his third year with Landmark Christian School. In addition to his duties at Landmark, he is the Artistic Director and owner, with his wife Bethany, of the first full-time professional theatre South of Atlanta, The Legacy Theatre.
