![]() Landmark Christian School is a place where the Performing Arts are celebrated and the value of every student is nurtured and developed. Beginning in the elementary grades, students are given the opportunity to be a part of the annual Landmark Spring Musical. Drama is woven into many classroom activities as teachers integrate art, music and drama into learning across the curriculum. Students in elementary and middle school are frequently involved in dramatic productions both in the classroom and in performances for peers and parents.
During high school, students have the opportunity to enroll in Theater I and II as elective course offerings. In Theater I, students learn the fundamentals of acting and stagecraft. Students interested in further developing these talents may audition to enroll in Theater II-Centre Stage. These students are committed to excellence in performance-based abilities and demonstrate an aptitude in theatre as well as a willingness to share their performance skills with the community. Both courses are performance-based with emphasis on movement, voice, improvisation, scene work, stage combat and musical theatre. In recent years, students have performed in musicals such as Guys and Dolls, Oliver, Grease, The Fantastic's, and Fiddler on the Roof to name a few. |
