Preparing the next generation of servant leaders "I think this is a fantastic idea, I hope it catches steam all across our country and beyond." Academy Format |
![]() The Iceberg The iceberg is a picture of the leadership philosophy of Landmark Christian School. Ninety percent of the iceberg is underwater while only ten percent is visible. We believe that 90% of leadership is the result of character and integrity, the unseen part, while 10% involves skills development and training. While the LCS curriculum addresses the development of character and integrity, the Leadership Academy will complement the curriculum by focusing on the skill development of Landmark students. |
Leadership DevelopmentMost Christian schools have a statement about their desire to train and develop servant leaders, and rightfully so. Jesus Christ himself modeled servant leadership and left us with a mandate to train up servant leaders. At Landmark Christian School we have taken Christ's directive and become purposeful in achieving it. We do not simply express servant leadership in our mission statement and literature, but we are intentionally developing the next generation of servant leaders. Cultivating servant leaders is one of five key strategic goals that Landmark has adopted in order to become the best Christian school possible. We take our role in building Godly leaders seriously. In fact, we have devoted our time and resources in order to implement a groundbreaking, revolutionary program for the 2004-2005 year: The Landmark Leadership Academy. Through the Academy, our students will learn the skills and principles of effective servant leadership from some of the best leaders in the Atlanta area. We will raise up a generation of servant leaders armed with necessary leadership skills and prepared to impact their churches, college campuses, and communities for Jesus Christ. Imagine a school that produces great leaders for the cause of Jesus Christ. Now imagine being part of it at Landmark Christian School. In Christ, |
