Missions

Each year, high school students have the opportunity to go on two school-sponsored mission trips.  Over winter break, students may travel to Kenya and over spring break, Honduras.  Recent trip additions include Juarez, Mexico, Haiti, and Romania.  During these trips, students have the opportunity to share the Gospel and reach worlds that they don't see on a daily basis.  Our students are trained and equipped before being sent on these missions so they can practically and effectively impact the world for Jesus Christ.

Giving Facts

List of 5 frequently asked questions.

  • Q. Why give to the ACTS Initiative?

Your gift enables the headmaster to provide an annual classroom enhancement allowance of $750 per teacher, and an average professional development allowance of $500. Additionally, it allows the school to offer need-based aid to qualified families, particularly the children of our faculty and staff.
  • Q. If I make a gift to the Georgia GOAL Scholarship program, does it count as my annual gift as well?

No. The GOAL Scholarship is not a gift to Landmark, but rather a redirection of state tax dollars to the Georgia GOAL scholarship program, which is in partnership with Landmark. The partnership pays a portion of a qualified new student's tuition if they are moving from a public school to Landmark. That said the "scholarship" helps Landmark stretch its fundraising efforts for tuition assistance a little further since more money can be directed to existing students and families.
  • Q. Why do you ask for donations in addition to tuition?

Tuition and fees cover just 87% of the true cost of a Landmark education. Our annual giving campaign for teachers and students is vital because it helps close the gap between tuition and fees, and the real cost of educating a student at Landmark.
  • Q. How much should I give?

Our prayer is that parents, grandparents, and alumni would consider giving to Landmark as a regular annual priority.  Every single gift, regardless of the amount, is deeply appreciated, especially if it is given prayerfully as the Holy Spirit has led you.
  • Q. If I give to the ACTS Initiative, will my gift also benefit classroom technology and/or campus improvements?

No. The annual campaign only supports the financial priorities embedded in our operating budget for teachers and students. If we raise more than is needed to underwrite the budget, the overage would go to ease other operating expenses, but will not have a significant impact on the school’s capital or endowment initiatives.

Future capital campaigns will be employed to help with the next set of institutional priorities dealing with buildings and grounds, technology and endowment. We expect to launch a new capital campaign within the next three years, to help in tackling projects laid out in the second phase of our master campus development plan.
