United States Service Academies
The United States Service Academies offer a prestigious opportunity to obtain a fully funded four-year college education.  Applicants must be U.S. citizens 17- 23 years old, meet high grade and test score criteria, and demonstrate leadership ability.

Employer Scholarships
Some employers offer scholarships to their employees or their children.  Some that have come to our attention are Wal-Mart and TBS/Time Warner. Check with your employer.

GoogleScholarship For Females In Computing and Technology
As part of Google's ongoing commitment to encouraging women to pursue careers in computing and technology, we're pleased to announce the Google Anita Borg Scholarship, through which we hope to encourage women to excel in computing and technology and become active role models and leaders.
Scholarships will be awarded based on the strength of candidates' academic background and demonstrated leadership. A group of female undergraduate and graduate student finalists will be chosen from the applicant pool.
All scholarship recipients and finalists will be invited to visit Google headquarters in Mountain View, California for a networking retreat which will include workshops with a series of speakers, panelists, breakout sessions and social activities.

The Jackie Robinson Foundation Scholarship
Through its Education and Leadership Development Program, the Jackie Robinson Foundation provides scholarships of up to $7,500 annually to minority high school students showing leadership potential and demonstrating financial need to attend an accredited 4-year college or university of their choice.  You must be a U.S. citizen in order to qualify for the Jackie Robinson Foundation Scholarship Award. In addition, you cannot possess a 2 or 4 year degree when apply for this scholarship.  The application package must include ONE (1) letter of recommendation and an official transcript (with raised seal).  In addition, all applicants are required to take either the SAT or the ACT and submit their scores. The Foundation's college codes are:

National Achievement Scholarship Program
The National Achievement Scholarship Program is an academic competition established in 1964 to provide recognition for outstanding Black American high school students.   Black students may enter both the National Achievement Program and the National Merit Program by taking the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT) and meeting other published requirements for participation.   The two annual programs are conducted concurrently but operated and funded separately. A student's standing is determined independently in each program. Black American students can qualify for recognition and be honored as Scholars in both the National Merit Program and the National Achievement Program, but can receive only one monetary award from NMSC.

USDA/1890 National Scholars Program
This program offers scholarships to U.S. citizens who are seeking a bachelor's degree at one of the eighteen 1890 Historically Black Land-Grant Institutions and Tuskegee University to study agriculture, food, or natural resource sciences and related majors.   The program helps to strengthen the partnership between USDA and the 1890 institutions; helps to increase the number of students studying agriculture and related disciplines; and offers career opportunities at USDA.   National Scholars are required to study in the following or related disciplines: Agriculture; Agricultural Business/Management; Agricultural Economics; Agricultural Engineering/Mechanics, Agricultural Production and Technology; Agronomy or Crop Science; Animal Sciences; Botany; Farm and Range Management; Fish, Game, or Wildlife Management; Food Sciences/Technology; Forestry and Related Sciences; Home Economics/Nutrition/Human Development; Horticulture; Natural Resources Management; Soil Conservation/Soil Science; and other related disciplines, (e.g., biological sciences, pre-veterinary medicine, computer science).
