Special chapel services between the two campuses for Christmas, Easter and end-of-school year.
High school chapel meets each Tuesday at 9:00 am. For our high school students, the theme for the
2011-2012 school year is: Demus Tselem; the likeness of His image. The scripture reference is Genesis 1:27 "So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them;
male and female he created them."
Middle school chapel meets at 8:00 am each Tuesday. The middle school theme this year is: Who are
You? The scripture reference is 1 Peter 2:9 "But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy
nation, God's special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness
into his wonderful light."
Winshape
This trip for seniors occurs at the beginning of the school year. Over three days, students have an
opportunity to get to know each other better and take part in team-building activities. Counselors lead
discussions at the end of each activity about the importance of being part of a team. Before they leave
for the trip, all parents submit letters for their student to be read privately during the course of the
retreat. This often emotional event is followed by a student-led break out session. The trip ends with a
charge from the Head of School to the senior class as they begin their final year of high school.
Missions
Each year, high school students have the opportunity to go on two school-sponsored mission trips. Over
Winter break, students may travel to Kenya and over Spring break; Honduras. |
