The Landmark Aviation Academy was founded in 2018 to inspire and educate future aviation professionals with an emphasis on pilots. Before Covid-19, commercial airline travel was at all-time highs and airlines were clamoring to hire and train new pilots with a significant number of pilots retiring annually at age 65. Covid-19 changed everything and 2021 will see airlines continuing to adjust to the new post-pandemic world of travel. That being said, the future still looks incredibly bright for high school students that wish to pursue a career in aviation. Vaccines and cures will be discovered and people will once travel again by the millions every day. Because high school students are anywhere from 5-8 years away from finishing their college degrees, now is the perfect time to point to the skies. Thousands of pilots in the next year may abandon their aviation careers and look elsewhere. We that lead the Aviation Academy believe this will only create more opportunities for future Landmark graduates. So while the airline business looks bleak, the industry will bounce back with a vengeance and those prepared with the proper education and training will be perfectly situated to capitalize.
