  • Monica Lee, Landmark Music Academy Coordinator

    Monica Lee is excited to come alongside students at the Landmark Christian School Music Academy who desire to be in the music industry. With a wealth of experience over many years, Monica understands the challenges of navigating today’s music industry, and how important it is to keep one’s faith at the forefront while facing this journey. As a music composition major from the Herb Alpert School of Music at UCLA, Monica has written numerous songs that found their way onto television, record albums, and live performances. Monica was in a band for seven years and worked numerous jobs in the music industry, including Interscope Records working with artists like Gwen Stefani, and Linda Perry. She has performed over 400 live gigs, including touring with her band, radio interviews, and hearing her songs on the radio. After starting a family, she transitioned into session singing and has sung most recently on “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” (2018) and on Paul McCartney’s newest release, “Egypt Station” (2018). Monica has a long list of credits from the past sixteen years of session singing, including singing on the soundtracks of “Star Wars: Rogue One,” “Jurassic World,” “Jungle Book,” and “Star Trek: Beyond.”  She has sung on “The Voice” and on the Hollywood Bowl Stage, among others.Teaching has become a passion of Monica’s as she watches her own daughter pursue a recording career. Her wealth of knowledge translates into a solid sounding board for students and parents alike in the music industry, and she is humbled to find herself in this position at Landmark.
  • Don Johnson, Director of Fine Arts

    Don Johnson has been the Fine Arts Director and Choral Director at Landmark Christian School for fourteen years. Don received his Bachelor of Music in vocal performance from the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston. Don has performed both nationally and internationally on the operatic and musical theater stage. Additionally, Don worked as a professional drummer, actor, and model in Los Angeles, Boston, New York, and Atlanta. Don is thrilled to be part of launching and guiding such a unique music opportunity to current and future Landmark students. Having worked in the entertainment industry at various levels, it is important to Don to have Landmark students develop their craft and who they are as an artist in an environment that will prepare them both artistically and spiritually for impacting the music industry in a powerful way.
  • Gezim Gashi, Music Partner

    Gezim Gashi is the Founder and CEO of his company, By Gezim Gashi. He’s originally from Kosovo, but grew up in Sweden before moving to Los Angeles, California when he was 21 years old. Gezim Gashi is an entrepreneur and Harvard Business student who has developed and launched music schools in Europe over the last couple of years. Gezim has earned recognitions from Forbes and Huffington Post for his work. He is currently developing music schools in the United States, including the Landmark Music Academy.
  • Aaron Harris, Faculty

    Aaron Harris has more than ten years in the music industry as a recording engineer for studios in Los Angeles and Atlanta. In addition to his time in the music industry, Aaron has more than ten years working as an audio technician where he gained experience from working for CNN, Tyler PerryStudios, and Turner Studios. In 2000, Aaron received Christ as his Lord and Savior. Since then he has dedicated his life to instructing youth about how to use media responsibly and the impact that music has on their lives.
  • Cindy Perkins, Faculty

    Cindy has been the Piano Accompanist for Landmark Christian School for 15 years. She travels with the choirs to all of their Choral Festival destinations such as Los Angeles, Boston, Chicago, Disney World, Gatlinburg, Austria, and Italy. Not only does Cindy play at all of the choral concerts, she also plays for graduations, baccalaureates, chapels, Music & Monologues, etc. Cindy graduated from Clayton State College in 1984 where she studied piano performance. While there she was chosen to play with the Atlanta Symphony String Quartet in 1982. She has performed and taught privately for over 30 years and is currently a member of several organizations: Georgia Music Teachers Association, GATE Chair for GMTA, and the Georgia Music Educators Association. Cindy enjoys sharing her passion for music with others and wishes to pass along the love of music to all of her students.
  • Mike Joiner, Faculty

    Mike Joiner attended both Auburn University and Gordon College. When Mike was at Gordon College, he studied classical guitar. Mike has been playing guitar since 1975, both professionally and semi-professionally. Additionally, he has provided guitar instruction and music recording services since 2005. For the past ten years, Mike has been the Landmark Christian School Praise Band instructor with responsibilities for weekly chapel services and helping to equip students with the tools they need to lead meaningful worship gatherings. He has also provided assistance with audio technical needs at Landmark. Mike provides guitar lessons in the afterschool program as well as teaching guitar classes and individual instruction.
  • Tamra Simmons, Board of Advisory

    Tamra is a well-known and respected entrepreneur and executive producer in the entertainment industry. Her latest project, “Surviving R. Kelly,” made headlines around the world. She brings her experience and knowledge to the Landmark Music Academy and opens doors for the next generation.
  • Bobbi Page, Board of Advisory

    Bobbi’s vocal and contracting career spans over three decades: singing and contracting for hundreds of films, television shows, commercials, and sound recordings. She performs as guest soloist with orchestras internationally and throughout the U.S. She has performed in films such as Jurassic World, War for the Planet of the Apes, Star Trek Returns, Rogue One, The Jungle Book, Ice Age 1, 2, & 3, Spiderman, Men in Black 1, 2, & 3, Batman Returns, and Polar Express. She has also sang in The Lion King, Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid, Mulan, and The Grinch Who Stole Christmas. As a voiceover artist, she has performed in Nightmare Before Christmas, Pocahontas, The Thief and the Cobbler, and Secret of NIHM 2. Her musical performances appear in The Simpsons and Animaniacs at the Disneyland attraction, Believe and her voice greets you at the beginning of every episode of Family Guy and American Dad. In addition to performing live and in studio with such notable artists as Michael Bublè, Michael Jackson, Josh Groban, Ringo Starr and Paul McCartney, Bobbi has 5 solo recordings in the US and abroad. Bobbi has also recorded as a vocalist and contractor alike for a host of rock bands including Korn, Skillet, All American Rejects, P.O.D., Muse, Linkin Park, Rod Stewart, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Fort Miner, Theory of a Dead Man, and Simple Plan. Bobbi is thrilled with the opportunity to be of service to young up and comers who desire to be professional musicians while keeping a balanced life of faith that informs their music.
  • Bonnie Keen, Board of Advisory

    Bonnie Keen is a founding member of the recording trio First Call, receiving three Dove Awards, five Grammy nominations, and an Emmy nomination for her work as a recording artist, author and speaker. Bonnie has performed on “The Grammy Awards,” “Johnny Carson’s Tonight Show” touring the United States, Canada, Asia and Europe. She continues to record solo projects and is an author of three books. Her vocals can ve heard on commercials for Pepsi, Dodge Trucks, Fritos, Coke, recording for Garth Brooks, Steve Winwood, Barry Manilow and Michael Crawford. She travels with Windborne Music’s “Tribute to the Music of Michael Jackson.”
    Theatrical highlights include roles with Nashville Shakespeare’s Festival, Studio Tenn, Blackbird Theatre and Playhouse Nashville. She tours her original two-woman musical, Women Who Dare to Believe and local therapy includes Nashville studio musician performances with The EaglemaniacsNashville.
  • Dave Tolliver, Artist Development

    Dave is an incredible, passionate, amazingly talented songwriter, singer, actor, designer and most of all the lover of the arts. The Cleveland native is a powerhouse singer, actor, and producer having worked with some of music’s greatest. The world of music for Dave started with a bang as the late Gerald Levert handpicked Dave and Jason Champion for Men at Large, whom would later contribute to music history and topping charts and selling millions of albums. Dave has appeared in over 40 stage plays, has 6 movies to his credit, and also hosts and judges events and music panels across the country. He often takes time to mentor young artists who are trying to find their way in the business with helpful advice or intuitive vocal and staging techniques.
  • Dexter Purnell, Digital/Recording Producer

    Dexter Purnell is a producer, songwriter, musician and educator. A quick read over his resume reveals he has worked as everything from a sound designer to an independent record label executive. He has worked with artists and record labels such as Sony, Disturbing Tha Peace Records, Def Jam Records, Asylum Records, Slip-N-Slide records, Jaquees, Rudy Currence, Slim of 112, Nate Walka, Field Mob, O-Town, Rickey Fante, Loverboy, C-Note, Jean Rodriguez, Atiba Martin, Captain Hollywood, 3rd Wish, The Collective, Graham Oliver of Saxon and many others. He has also managed to add some very impressive corporate clientele such as Walt Disney Entertainment, NBA, ESPN, Jansport, Gearhead Pictures/Dan Myrick (Blair Witch Project) and Hard Rock Academy to his ever-growing resume. He holds a doctoral degree in business administration from Wilmington University and has held instructor and professional positions at West Georgia Technical College, Southern New Hampshire University and Florida Gateway College. His most recent position was the Assistant Professor of Marketing and Business at MacMurray College where he still works as a professional fellow for the college’s online program. In his spare time, Dr. Purnell enjoys conducting academic research on the effects of technology on the entertainment industry.
  • Lisa Rosemond, Resident Vocal Coach

    Lisa has been singing as long as she can remember. She graduated Cum Laude with her Bachelor of Music in vocal performance from Wesleyan College. In college she toured with various performing groups and appeared in many original and well-known musical theater shows. Along the way, also discovered that she could write her own music. In 1991, Lisa became certified to teach music in public schools and founded a children’s choir at her local church. She is a worship leader for both adults and children, and has been the musical director and vocal coach for The King’s Academy in Woodstock for the last 15 years. In 2015, Lisa was voted Atlanta’s favorite vocal coach by Backstage Magazine. She taught at Jan Smith Studios for 15 years before opening her own studio in 2018. Her clients include many young actors, worship leaders, musical theater performers and artists, including Youtube Rap sensation MattyB, Parker Jennings (winner of 3 Shuler awards) and Linder Sutton, who is currently on The King and I National Tour. Lisa has also had contestants on the X Factor and The Voice.  In addition to vocal coaching, Lisa enjoys voiceover work and has added voiceover coaching to her resume.
