  • Tamra Simmons

    Tamra is a well-known and respected entrepreneur and executive producer in the entertainment industry. Her latest project, “Surviving R. Kelly,” made headlines around the world. She brings her experience and knowledge to the Landmark Music Academy and opens doors for the next generation.
  • Bonnie Keen

    Bonnie Keen is a founding member of the recording trio First Call, receiving three Dove Awards, five Grammy nominations, and an Emmy nomination for her work as a recording artist, author, and speaker. Bonnie has performed on “The Grammy Awards,” “Johnny Carson’s Tonight Show” touring the United States, Canada, Asia, and Europe. She continues to record solo projects and is an author of three books. Her vocals can ve heard on commercials for Pepsi, Dodge Trucks, Fritos, Coke, recording for Garth Brooks, Steve Winwood, Barry Manilow, and Michael Crawford. She travels with Windborne Music’s “Tribute to the Music of Michael Jackson.”
    Theatrical highlights include roles with Nashville Shakespeare’s Festival, Studio Tenn, Blackbird Theatre and Playhouse Nashville. She tours her original two-woman musical, Women Who Dare to Believe and local therapy includes Nashville studio musician performances with The Eaglemaniacs Nashville. www.bonniekeen.com

  • Steve Harriton, Lead Faculty

    Steven Harriton is a tv/film/video game composer and session guitar player/bass player/singer/songwriter from Los Angeles, working in the industry for 18 years.
    Last year Steve’s music aired in 38 different countries on shows like American Idol, Dancing with the Stars, So You Think You Can Dance, Arrow, V, Beverly Hills 90210 2.0, CSI, 15 MTV shows, indie film Intensive Care, UFC, Viceland (HBO), Vice News (HBO) and more. He has also produced over 25 independently funded artist CDs.

    Three and a half years ago, Steve completed Wwise certification and actively began working in the Indie Game community writing soundtracks and creating/programming sound fx. One of the special game projects he worked on was A Hero’s Call by Out Of Sign Games. It’s a full open-world RPG game for the blind with full voice acting. Steve composed a 36-minute orchestral soundtrack for the game. You can hear it on his Soundcloud page
  • Don Johnson, Director of Fine Arts

    Don Johnson has been the Fine Arts Director and Choral Director at Landmark Christian School for fourteen years. Don received his Bachelor of Music in vocal performance from the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston. Don has performed both nationally and internationally on the operatic and musical theater stage. Additionally, Don worked as a professional drummer, actor, and model in Los Angeles, Boston, New York, and Atlanta. Don is thrilled to be part of launching and guiding such a unique music opportunity to current and future Landmark students. Having worked in the entertainment industry at various levels, it is important to Don to have Landmark students develop their craft and who they are as an artist in an environment that will prepare them both artistically and spiritually for impacting the music industry in a powerful way.
     
  • Lisa Rosemond

    Lisa has been singing as long as she can remember. She graduated Cum Laude with her Bachelor of Music in vocal performance from Wesleyan College. In college, she toured with various performing groups and appeared in many original and well-known musical theater shows. Along the way, also discovered that she could write her own music. In 1991, Lisa became certified to teach music in public schools and founded a children’s choir at her local church. She is a worship leader for both adults and children and has been the musical director and vocal coach for The King’s Academy in Woodstock for the last 15 years. In 2015, Lisa was voted Atlanta’s favorite vocal coach by Backstage Magazine. She taught at Jan Smith Studios for 15 years before opening her own studio in 2018. Her clients include many young actors, worship leaders, musical theater performers, and artists, including Youtube Rap sensation MattyB, Parker Jennings (winner of three Shuler awards), and Linder Sutton, who is currently on The King and I National Tour. Lisa has also had contestants on the X Factor and The Voice. In addition to vocal coaching, Lisa enjoys voiceover work and has added voiceover coaching to her resume.
  • James Riles III

    James Riles III is from Nicholls, GA, and has been playing the drums since his parents bought him a set of drums at five years of age. He drummed his way through middle school and earned the position of the lead drumset player in the Coffee High School Jazz Band, "Trojectory" while he was just a freshman. His God-given talents landed him a scholarship at Morris Brown College where he composed a lot of their new aged Drumline material.
     
    He was also a composer and performer for the hit movies "Drumline" and also "Drumline 2: A New Beat." He used his gift to teach people of all ages how to play drums and life skills. His motto "Pray and Play" is one he holds onto dearly by letting everyone know that it's through Christ that he's able to teach the way that he does.
     
    His two sons Sadarien and Darius Riles are also drummers, as well and also a part of the Atlanta Drum Academy. He tells everyone that they are better drummers at their age than he was when he was their age.
  • Aaron Harris

    Aaron Harris has more than ten years in the music industry as a recording engineer for studios in Los Angeles and Atlanta. In addition to his time in the music industry, Aaron has more than ten years working as an audio technician where he gained experience from working for CNN, Tyler PerryStudios, and Turner Studios. In 2000, Aaron received Christ as his Lord and Savior. Since then he has dedicated his life to instructing youth about how to use media responsibly and the impact that music has on their lives.
  • Cindy Perkins

    Cindy has been the middle and high school Piano Accompanist for Landmark Christian School for 15 years. She travels with the choirs to all of their Choral Festival destinations such as Los Angeles, Boston, Chicago, Disney World, Gatlinburg, Austria, and Italy. Not only does Cindy play at all of the choral concerts, she also plays for graduations, baccalaureates, chapels, Music & Monologues, etc. Cindy graduated from Clayton State College in 1984 where she studied piano performance. While there she was chosen to play with the Atlanta Symphony String Quartet in 1982. She has performed and taught privately for over 30 years and is currently a member of several organizations: Georgia Music Teachers Association, GATE Chair for GMTA, and the Georgia Music Educators Association. Cindy enjoys sharing her passion for music with others and wishes to pass along the love of music to all of her students.
