Under the leadership of Don Johnson, Fine Arts Director, Landmark is proud to announce the launch of The Landmark Strings Program. The program will provide students with an opportunity to experience playing a stringed instrument (violin, viola, cello, or bass) in a supportive, fun environment. Olivia Abernathy, a native of Newnan, Georgia is excited to join Landmark Christian School as director of its new strings program. Students will receive instruction during the after-school program in weekly private lessons and small group classes with their peers. In private lessons, students will receive personalized instruction, ensuring that their individual strengths and challenges are addressed. In group classes, students will have the opportunity to play their instruments with others, developing ensemble skills that will serve them in the future. Group classes are also a great way to reinforce musical skills and concepts. In addition to learning how to play their chosen instruments, students will develop music reading skills and build their knowledge of music history and theory.

The Strings Program is open to both beginners and students who already have strings experience. Students will be placed in group classes based on skill level and age. All grade levels are welcome.
