BEE Loved

Recently, the Fairburn campus welcomed prospective families to learn more about Landmark through an Open House. Parents of children interested in the Landmark Early Childhood Center (ECC) stepped into a happy "honey beehive" of warmth because of the extra care, devotion to detail, and generosity of Mrs. Latonja Jackson and the teachers she works within ECC After-school Care (ASC).
Mrs. Jackson wanted the visiting children to know Landmark is a joyful place to be. As a mother and long-time educator, she understands what children need and what parents want for their children. That is what she creates for her students with the support of her team.

Bee Long
Mrs. Jackson started work at Landmark this past August as an ASC teacher. She discovered Landmark by way of her son, Kevin (‘23). Independently, he had researched schools and was drawn to the Landmark Music and Theater programs. He convinced his parents to tour Landmark with him. Like many of us have experienced, once Mrs. Jackson toured the campus she knew it was where God intended her family to bee.

For Open House, Mrs. Jackson chose a "beehive theme" because it's fun, light, sunny, and sweet. A hive is where the teachers work hard to ensure all children are seen, affirmed, and encouraged for who they are.

Bee Kind
Mrs. Becky Rowe, Director of ASC, shares: "Our teachers work hard to ensure the children feel and experience love every day. Mrs. Jackson leads with her heart on full display in the way she guides, nurtures, encourages and builds up her team and the groups of children she works with."

Bee Respectful
Mrs. Jackson understands the power of connection, encouragement, and spaces that inspire learning. Most importantly, the ECC ASC program creates a home away from home for our children. They are loved and cared for like family.

Bee Courageous
Mrs. Rowe continues, "Mrs. Jackson demonstrates our Landmark Core Values in everything she does, and our ECC ASC program has thrived under her supervision."

Mrs. Jackson is one of the many teachers at Landmark that challenges us all to continue finding new ways to use our gifts to benefit each child, the people we work with, and the communities with whom we partner. Landmark is grateful for the ways our teachers pour into the lives of all students.

The Landmark ECC and ASC teachers use hospitality and loving-kindness to create a fun and nurturing environment for students because it is in their hearts to do so. Above and beyond, our teachers overflow with kindness and care for our students. Mrs. Gina Longino from ECC ASC shares, "We love these children like they are our own! It is a joy to get to work with them every day."

Bee Grateful
Relationships begin with an invitation and a warm welcome. Thank you, teachers, for all of the many ways you pour into our students. We are so very grateful for your grace, love, hard work and dedication!
