This month in 7th-grade Bible, students were asked to create inspiring companies and were given the chance to compete in our very own version of Shark Tank!
The goals for the lesson were to teach principles of stewardship, investment, and reward while awakening us to the God-given talents and passions uniquely placed in each one of us (Ephesians 2:10). Each student created their own logos, drafted mission and vision statements, and designed websites to showcase their products!
In addition, students were able to invest (with play money) in their company of choice during class presentations. The student from each class with the most investment capital was entered into the final round to pitch their brand to school administration! During this round, our incredible administration analyzed the products, profit margins, and presentation skills of each student. They selected their winner and made the first investment into the start-up company with $150 of real money!
Amaya Diaz was chosen as the winner of the final round, and was given the opportunity to present her product, "Water Walkers", to Chick-fil-A Corporate for further review and feedback! Chick-fil-A awarded Amaya with a generous gift card and a personalized bag of goodies to celebrate her inspiring company. We are so grateful for their time and investment in this project!
We're so proud of their hard work and are amazed at their creativity! Below is a sneak peek of the future companies that are being birthed right here at Landmark! Their websites were created using a 30-day free trial from WiX that enables brands to better serve their customers with a streamlined shopping experience.
