During the past two summer seasons, Landmark senior Carson Hebblethwaite’s volunteer internship with Serenbe Playhouse gave her opportunities to explore her professional interests, build relationships with the local arts community and share the joy of her Christian faith. At the recent Institute of Outdoor Theatre National Conference, held at Serenbe, Hebblethwaite was presented with the Scott J. Parker Volunteer Award. The Scott J. Parker Volunteer Award was established in 2013 to honor Parker’s tenure as Director and his continued support of outdoor theatre, and is given to an exceptional volunteer in the field of outdoor theatre. This award includes a cash prize of $500 and recognizes an individual who has been nominated by the IOT member theatre for their extraordinary, dedicated, and unpaid service to the organization over a significant period of time.
Hebblethwaite’s very proud parents are grateful for the roles the Landmark Fine Arts department and Leadership Academy have played in their daughter’s high school experience.
