Cameron Dobbs, Class of 2017, recently visited Landmark and shared her story, passion, and wisdom with students during chapel. Cameron shared that Landmark Christian School’s rigorous course load, competitive athletics, and leadership-building courses clearly prepared her not only for life after high school but to succeed in all things. A quick glance at her resume shows her numerous accomplishments from ACC Network Color Commentator for the 2020 ACC Volleyball Championship, Sideline Reporter and Media Director for the 2021 Cal Ripken World Series broadcasted on Stadium, Iron Arrow Honor Society member (the highest honor one could attain at the University of Miami), Division I collegiate athlete, Division I collegiate coach, CNN featured “Difference Maker,” author, podcast host, speaker, business owner, nonprofit founder, Miami Hurricanes Event Host, and the list goes on.

Alumni Highlight - Sydney Tanner Class of 2020

Meet Sydney Tanner, a 2020 graduate of Landmark Christian. Sydney attended Landmark for 14 years, K4-12. She was active in sports throughout her years at Landmark, cheerleading in elementary school (2nd-5th), and playing volleyball (6th-12th). Sydney’s dad sparked her love for volleyball and she committed to the game after playing in middle school. During her high school career, she was a four-year varsity volleyball letterman and team captain. She is now playing Division 1 volleyball for Furman University and was awarded the SoCon 2021 Academic Athlete award demonstrating excellence in her coursework.

Andrew Cathy Named Next CEO of Chick-fil-A

Chick-fil-A announced that Andrew Cathy, Landmark Christian Class of 1997, will begin as CEO on November 1. He is the third generation of Cathys to become Chief Executive Officer, taking the reins from his father Dan Cathy, who has served in this position since 2013.

Allision Nye, '16 alumna of Landmark Christian School ’19 alumna of Clemson University

I came to my parents in middle school and expressed to them that I was unhappy with the quality of education that I was receiving where I was attending school. While we toured Landmark in elementary school, at the time it was not something that I wanted to pursue; my wish to stay with my friends superseded the positives that Landmark offered. However, with a newfound desire to look at other schooling options, my family and I toured Landmark once more. Throughout the admissions process, the staff made me feel welcomed and loved. When I did my shadow day, I was struck by how many students came up to greet me. With lots of prayer and discernment, I started Landmark in ninth grade. I believe that Landmark was the right place for me at this time in my life. I received a quality education and was taught to think critically, work hard, and love others.

Landmark Christian School Alum Receives Prestigious Law Award

Eric Burdette, Landmark Christian School Class of 2010, recently received the International Academy of Trial Lawyers Award for Outstanding Ability in Trial Advocacy from Emory Law, an award to a graduating Emory Law student demonstrating outstanding trial advocacy. Eric Burdette graduated Landmark in 2010, Harvard in 2014, and Emory Law in 2020.

Landmark Christian Alumni Standout Runner To Compete At Olympic Trials

Lindy Long Jones ('13) has qualified to compete in the 2020 Olympic Marathon Trials on February 29, 2020, in Atlanta, GA. Jones ran her Olympic qualifying time this past fall at the Chicago Marathon. She will certainly have the love and support of the Landmark Christian community and her home state rooting for her during the 26.2-mile journey through many of the most historic sites in the metro Atlanta area.

Landmark Alum Named Patt Tillman Foundation Scholar

Landmark alum, Charles Long (Class of 2008) has been named one of the 2019 Patt Tillman Foundation Scholars. Following his commissioning from West Point, Charles served as an officer in the United States Army.

Landmark Celebrates the Groundbreaking of New High School

Building upon excellence in education, Landmark Christian School and the Fairburn community broke ground on May 6 to renovate the formerly segregated Fairburn Public Elementary School. The ceremony marked a new beginning for Landmark, South Fulton County, and the City of Fairburn by formally embarking upon a $10,000,000 renovation and construction of a new high school.

Landmark Graduate Inducted Into Three Honor Societies

Jade is a Junior Animal Science major at Tuskegee University. She was a 2015 Summa Cum Laude graduate of Landmark who has been inducted into three Honor Societies.
