All international applicants interested in Landmark Christian School are required to apply through New Oasis International Education Inc. and must follow the New Oasis Admission Process. This agency provides necessary support and guidance while the student is attending Landmark. For more information about New Oasis, please contact them directly at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Landmark Christian School welcomes a small number of international students each year who are interested in joining the Landmark community, culminating in graduation. We welcome students who are eager to immerse themselves in our community, taking full advantage of spiritual offerings, academics, athletics, and the arts. International students must be in a host home with Christian parents.
Please note that English proficiency is of the utmost importance for success in our curriculum, which relies heavily on reading and writing. Please also note that athletic eligibility for international students is severely limited by the Georgia High School Association, and international students will be able to compete at the varsity level for no more than one year.
We will admit international students into Grades 9 or 10, with the expectation that they will graduate from Landmark. Students are expected to return home for the winter and summer holidays.
Tuition for an international student to attend Landmark for the 2017-18 school year is TBD. Tuition Payments are arranged through New Oasis and should not be submitted directly to the school.
Landmark Christian School will issue an I-20 to facilitate a student’s application for an F-1 visa to study in the United States.
In addition to the materials required of all domestic applicants, international applicants must also submit the following application materials no later than March 15, 2017.
- Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL)
All applicants whose native language is not English must take the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) in addition to the SSAT. A score of 75+ on the internet based TOEFL or 825 on the TOEFL Junior test indicate that an applicant’s English skills are strong enough for full participation in Landmark’s program. Please note that the applicant will need to register several weeks before the test administration date, so testing should be scheduled as soon as possible.
Interviews are required. Competitive applicants will be scheduled for an interview by the Landmark Admission Office through a New Oasis representative.
