    DIRECTOR OF ANNUAL GIVING
     
    Job Description:
    Private independent Christian School seeks an energetic, highly motivated Director of Annual Giving for the 2017-2018 school year.  This position will report to the Director of Advancement and will work closely with the Office of Advancement team members, volunteers and other school-wide staff.  The Director will be responsible for the school’s annual giving objectives, including but not limited to the various constituency appeals that occur in any single school year.

    We recognize that when the student is at school, our faculty and staff  stand in the place of the parent.  We believe that the role of a Christian school employee is to demonstrate through philosophy and lifestyle his or her personal relationship with Jesus Christ, a consistent reflection of Godly character, and a heart to meet the needs of students and staff. The main campus (Fairburn, K-12) currently enrolls 706 students; our Peachtree City campus (K-5) enrolls 98 students for a total enrollment of 804, of which 25% are ethnic minorities.  The school is fully committed to culturally diverse faculty, staff and student body.

    Essential duties include but not limited to:
    • Champion of a robust annual fund that contributes to the ongoing growth of the school’s culture of philanthropy
    • Recommend annual fundraising goals to supervisor based upon historical analysis and research
    • Manage a portfolio of 50+ charitable customers using personal visits to mature the charitable relationship as well increase the client’s giving
    • Work with the Director of Advancement, and the marketing and communications staff, to plan and execute the annual fund’s solicitation of parents, alumni, parents of alumni, seniors, faculty and staff
    • Work closely with the Director of Advancement to recruit, train and motivate a volunteer cabinet that supports the annual fund, particularly the growth in membership of the Partners of the Headmaster, as well as an active network of both parent and alumni to actualize the plan. 
    • Serve as the liaison to the volunteer cabinet to ensure that specific pre-determined dollar and participation goals are met by each constituency group’s appeal strategy
    • Work closely with the Director of Advancement and the Director of Marketing and Communications to find and share those student and teacher stories that link the school’s mission and vision with the ongoing importance of philanthropy.  This includes keeping annual giving case for support up to date on the website
    • Work closely with the Director of Advancement and Manager of Alumni Relations to develop a vibrant alumni reunion giving program
    • Fully participate in and/or help to create stewardship activities that recognize the school’s charitable donors via, but not necessarily limited to, personal visits, the school’s website, annual donor roll, the Headmaster’s Annual Philanthropy Dinner, Partners of the Headmaster annual recognition
    • Work closely with the Manager of Advancement Services to prepare the necessary monthly reports on annual giving
    • Facilitates the timely collection of pledge payments
    • Other duties as assigned                
     
    Qualifications:
    • A Bachelor’s degree and minimum 3 years experience in the field including solicitation and volunteer management
    • Outstanding speaking, writing, and editing skills
    • Demonstrated success in supervising and managing a staff
    • Demonstrated success in managing multiple projects with shifting priorities and competing deadlines

    After School Program Assistant – Peachtree City Campus
     
    Landmark Christian School, K-12, Independent Christian School located in Fairburn, and Peachtree City, GA
     
    We recognize that when the student is at school, the faculty/staff stands in the place of the parent.  We believe that the role of all faculty/staff is to demonstrate through philosophy and lifestyle a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, a consistent reflection of Godly character, and a heart to meet the needs of young people.  The school enrolls about 800 students of which 25% are ethnic minorities.  The school is fully committed to culturally diverse faculty/staff and student body.  Landmark is eager to consider applications from traditionally underrepresented groups.
     
    Job Description:
    • The After School Program is available to students in elementary, middle and high school and operates on school days from 2:45pm – 6:00pm, and occasionally on elementary half-days (11:00am to 6:00pm) and on elementary non-school days from 3:15pm – 6:00pm (middle/high school students only). The program operates Monday-Friday only.
    • The After School Program Assistant is a part-time, $10.50 an hour position that qualifies for a 25% student tuition discount.
     
    Daily requirements include:
    • Assist the After School Program Director with the implementation of a quality program that enriches the students spiritually, academically, socially, emotionally, and physically
    • Maintain a safe and educational learning environment for young children by successfully implementing the program curriculum and daily program activities
    • Leading children in table activities, supervising snack and outdoor play, assisting children with day to day needs, maintaining a clean environment, leading group activities and assisting with programs as assigned by the Director
    • Be available to rotate with other workers to stay past 6:00 pm until last student(s) are picked up
     
    Qualifications:
    • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age and must submit background check
    • Must have warm and friendly personality, be sensitive to the feelings and needs of others, be able to relate well to children, and be willing to fulfill responsibilities in accordance with the school’s program and philosophy
    • Good communication skills
    • Maintain professional working relationships with the program director and other team members
    • Observe, monitor, and participate in children’s play activities
    • Promote a safe and healthy environment based on safety standards set within the program.
    • Efficiently redirect inappropriate student behaviors and implement the program discipline system to effectively monitor and guide proper student behavior
    • Help prepare snacks for the children and clean-up the kitchen and snack area
    • Assist in the cleaning and straightening of the room and equipment before, during, and at the end of the day
    • Demonstrate behavior that is professional, ethical, and responsible
    • Perform other duties as assigned

    Transportation Department – School Bus Driver
    Position: Hourly/Part-time – duties may include daily bus routes, field trips, athletic events

    Qualifications:
    High school diploma or GED required, supplemented by a minimum of six months previous school bus driving experience or vocational training
    Requires successful completion of employment background screening
    Valid state school bus driver license (CDL)
    The ability to take charge but deal professionally and calmly in emergency situations
    The ability to work effectively with employees, students, parents, school administration and local law enforcement representatives
    Subject to random drug testing
