Chorus in middle school is divided by grade level and there are also two auditioned ensembles available: 7th and 8th grade Women's Ensemble and 8th Grade Honors Chorus. (Sixth-grade students are required to participate in both Band and Chorus for the entire year.) The goal in middle school is to introduce proper vocal technique, sight-singing, and basic musicianship to the students.
